in my sleep
from natural causes
and left behind
a legacy of guilt
with dramatic pauses.
Years ago
I lost my will
to live.
I was left behind
with grief
and nothing to give.
I had cheated death
in an accident
on that fateful night
but with you
by my side
I now see the light.
Jesus gave me
the comfort
as a friend in need.
I grabed His hand
and He took
the lead.
Off in the distance
at a table
two men would wait.
I was witness
to a miracle
of the most divine state.
They both smiled
with tears
in their eyes.
I was finally
reconciling
with family ties.
My son
and my grandson
reached out to me.
Could I ever
make it up
to my family?
One day
heaven would help me
find the brightest star.
I was the one
behind the wheel
driving that car.
